Well, other Gainax shows have suffered the lol budget thing as well. Then we get all kinds of interesting last episodes. Ah well. Anno is a troll anyway, just like Kawamori of the Macross fame.

WATCHING CURRENTLY - Shin Mazinger Shougeki Z-hen. Fuck yes Mazinger. This airs on Saturdays.

Also watching the new FMA which so far seems better than the original which we just dropped due to various reasons.

Currently watching Code Geass.

I'm excited to see the new FMA, but I was a fan of the first series as well. I didn't realize that it was already airing, and that Funimation was streaming it in the US!

I recently finished watching seasons 1 and 2 of Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei, which is one of the greatest things I've ever watched. It's about the world's most pessimistic high school teacher and his wierdo students, and it's hilarious.

I just started watching Souten Kouro, which isn't bad so far. It's about Cao Cao from Romance of the Three Kingdoms fame (and amazingly, they didn't turn him and the rest of the cast into girls!).

It's about time someone cast Cao Cao as the hero rather than Liu Bei and crew. He really was an amazing individual.

I'm working to finish the last Lucky Star DVD that I have, even though I'm really in the middle of Code Geass, as I had mentioned. Going back further, I went to an Evangelion panel this weekend, and totally thought about Elmina. :)

Agreed. ^

I haven't watched much anime this deployment; I've watched Blue Submarine No. 6, Princess Mononoke and Karas...that's about it. I would really like to finish Elfen Leid as I've only seen the first two episodes. Perhaps when I finish that I'll look into the manga, as from what I've read it's much better.

Gonna start watching Hellsing: Ultimate again when I get back, considering volume 5 is out now. Can't wait till that's finished; they're supposed to tie in the prequel after the first series is over.

Ground Defense Force Mao-Chan. It's a parody of the magical girl genre, wherein three useless 8-year old girls (enlisted by their doting grandfathers, who each run a branch of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces) "defend" Japan from cute and completely non-threatening aliens. It's awesome.

Just finished Gilgamesh.

Now, I'm back on season two of Kiba. Kiba's a total fluff anime, but it's something to zone out to on days that I don't feel like using the computer, playing a game, or, I dunno, interactive with people.

Just finished watching Samurai Champloo and ended up watching through most of it again yesterday. Watched a little bit of Trinity Blood over the weekend too.

Afro Samurai: Resurrection was pretty bad ass, on a side note.

I'm watching the second season of Mahoromatic. It's alright.

I've always meant to see Afro Samurai. It just looks badass!

Been watching a lot of anime lately. Within the past week or two, I've watched up to volume six of Hellsing: Ultimate, all of Trigun, all of Elfen Lied, and all of Rosario + Vampire.

Currently working on Rosario + Vampire Capu 2 and Casshern Sins.

The first three on that list are excellent series. Rosario + Vampire and it's sequel are at least entertaining, but not what I would call a good series. Casshern Sins on the other hand has been outstanding so far. It kinda reminds me of Mega Man X to a degree. If you're looking for something comical, however, this is not the anime for you.

Well, since I can't seem to find episode 13 of Casshern Sins I suppose I might as well finish Rosario + Vampire Capu 2. This is going to be a painful transition...

Let's see, uh...

Watched Getter Robo Armageddon which was awesomest of awesome, and Dancouga, which was very 80's but AWESOME anyway.

Oh and Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-Hen which just ended the other week. IT WAS PURE AWESOME.

Currently watching... kinda, Gurren Lagann. Yes yes, slow, everyone saw this ages ago, etc. that shit. It's great fun even if I'm now going to be cynical robot fan who thinks Getter etc. did this first.

Just finished The Wallflower. I didn't like it when it started. The pacing seemed all wrong. By the end, I really did find myself to have enjoyed it.

Sgt. Frog - It seems funny enough, so far. I've only seen 1.5 episodes, though.
